The University College of Computer Science is one of the University centres at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM). This college is responsible for academic education and research within the sphere of Computer Engineering.
With regard to academic education, the process offered is practical, applied and oriented towards the resolution of problems and projects that facilitate the acquisition of the specific and transversal competencies needed in all professions within the sphere of Computer Engineering.
As regards research, practically all the teaching staff at the University College are involved in the development of research, innovation and development projects financed with funds obtained from competitive tendering and contracts with companies. This intensive research work results in the consequent generation of knowledge which is directly reverted into improving the quality of teaching offered and the provision of services that are directly oriented towards enabling the companies in the region to improve their competitiveness in the knowledge society.
This document provides details on the activities that took place at the Centre from 2006 to 2011 as a continuation of those that had previously taken place between 2000 and 2005. The writing of this document has implied an important exercise as regards reflecting on and analysing the Centre’s current situation. It has been created using the information available at the Centre, along with the institutional information provided by the UCLM concerning the positioning of our Centre.
