Modelling Ambient Intelligence

The principal objective of this research group is to adapt technologies in order to model contexts in which the user interaction is minimised or disappears such that users perceive assistance as coming from their surrounding environment. 

The group therefore works on research lines that are appropriate to Ambient Intelligence via the use of identification technologies such as implicit, absorbed or contact input. The group focuses on RFID (Radiofrequency Identification) and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies. It also adopts mobility as a solution to problems in the areas of health and dependency.
